WHERE'S RANDY ?  - The Adventures of Squad Member 821

Randy, like the rest of us was all excited that finally there was going to be a building addition Randy had heard the stories of how the squad had raised money specially for this event. He wanted to help in any way he could. Well, Randy got a little carried away. Randy thought he would help with the digging of the foundation. While randy was resting from digging, he dozed off and fell into the hole!

Once again fellow squad members were around and able to get him safely out of the hole. Randy suffered only a hurt ego.

Recently Randy got all excited that NJ finally was getting snow. He had his mind set on going snow tubing. Unfortunately, Randy's snow-tubing ended unexpectedly....

Randy attended the Watchung Rescue Squad Superbowl Party. (Randy is a big Giants fan) Randy and some fellow squad members were enjoying the game when suddenly Randy started waving his hand franticly!

Due to the quick thinking of fellow members and some abdominal thrusts, Randy's airway was cleared.

Food or small objects can cause choking if they get caught in your throat and block your airway. This keeps oxygen from getting to your lungs and brain. If your brain goes without oxygen for more than four minutes, you could have brain damage or die.
Young children are at an especially high risk of choking. They can choke on foods like hot dogs, nuts and grapes, and on small objects like toy pieces and coins. Keep hazards out of their reach and supervise them when they eat.

When someone is choking, quick action can be lifesaving!
